Session 5 & 6

Session 5 will cover:

  • Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah/Shiraz.

  • You will be able to describe the style and quality of both still wines made from regionally important grape varieties and other regionally important named wines made in the key wine producing countries of the world.

Examples will include: Rhône Valley, Washington State, Australia, and Bordeaux

Session 6 will cover:

  • Gamay, Grenache/Garnacha, Tempranillo, Carmenère, Malbec, Pinotage.

  • You will be able to describe the style and quality of both still wines made from regionally important grape varieties and other regionally important named wines made in the key wine producing countries of the world.

Examples include Beaujolais, Rioja, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône, Chile, Argentina and South Africa.
