Session 2 will cover
Factors Influencing Style, Quality and Price, The Wine Label
Hours of class 7:30-9:30PM
Students will be expected to read all the class material prior. We will run through the theory portion and then focus on WSET’s SAT (Systematic Approach to Tasting) A concise and detailed tasting system that allows student to be able reading the label what flavours and structural characteristics one might expect from the wine, can you accurately estimate what a wine will taste like? If the label says ‘Gran Reserva’ what kind of flavours would you expect?
Useing this method you will be able begin thinking about elements in wine High Acidity? Why? If there are flavours of vanilla and toast, can the students explain why?
