    Iulia was our first L3 graduate back in 2019, she has since progressed her studies in WSET Diploma and has completed half the program. She’s bring focus to Eastern European wines, and her motto is “Keep Smiling”

  • Brian McNamara | WSET Level 3

    Brian is our marketing genius. His focus was to learn more about wine, having worked in both the beer and now for Diageo as their Global Marketing Manager-Johnnie Walker.

  • Kevin Garcia | WSET Level 3

    Kevin was also one of our early graduates, who has since moved to Lisbon and started his own marketing firm called Hometime.

  • Donna Billingham | WSET Level 1, 2 & 3

    Donna studied all three levels with Van Belle, thoroughly passionate about learning. She went on to study culinary arts at Cordon Blue in London and now works at Sandridge Barton wines in Devon, UK

  • Valeria Boi | WSET Level 3

    Valeria hails from Sardegna and has worked at notable restaurants such as Maris Piper and now 4850. She wants to start her own business in wine tourism.

  • Nika Smolianinova | WSET Level 3

    Nika works as Strategy and Transformation at Eurasian Resources Group. Her elegant and meticulous details are unmatched by her keen sense of food and wine.

  • Gilles Suprin | WSET Level 3

    Gilles had a mission in 202o to taste 200o wines. He came to Van Belle with no prior wine knowledge save what he’d learned in his beloved region of Rhône. He not only completed the mission almost solo, but passed . He likes to tote, he went from zero to 3.

  • Victor Maas | WSET Level 3

    Victor is a professor of accounting for University of Amsterdam, and was impressive with his blind tasting skills. To date, we’ve never seen another person tackle studying the same way.

  • Andrea Sindova | WSET Level 3

    Andrea works as legal counsel for PVH, and enjoys exploring food and wine in her travels.

  • Mark Tramischus | WSET Level 3

    Mark travelled weekly from Zeeland even in the midst of curfew. He works as a sommelier and wants to start his own wine business.

  • Ivona Sinkovic | WSET Level 3

    Ivona is the Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager for ABN/AMRO and uses her marketing skills to align small businesses for growth potential.

  • Sonja Kloek | WSET Level 3

    Sonja works as Sr Legal counsel for Media Monks, protecting intellectual property and compliance.

  • Anton Weichselbraun | WSET Level 3

    Anton “Tony’ is Sr. Industrial Product Designer for Arçelik Global. In his free time, his insta pseudonym Tony Vegas tours the EU in search of the great food and wine.

  • Stefan Walldorf | WSET Level 3

    Stefan is the Managing Director at Cerberus Global Investments. His German roots have honed his knowledge of the region’s wines and has become an avid advocate for showing smaller producers with a depth of vintages.

  • Irina Vrijsen | WSET Level 3

    Irina is a International Hotel Management graduate who loves travelling. She works as an account manager for the Italian & Spanish market and hopes to combine her work and travels to discover many new wineries.

  • Max Blokker | WSET Level 2 & 3

    Max came to us via NYC. He interned and devoted his time to study, tasting and really was a huge asset to Van Belle. Max is the sommelier at Clos and will move onto his Masters later this year.

  • Hans Eirik Borgen | WSET Level 3

    Hans works in security management, but his heart has been in wine for years. Hans furthered his studies in WSET’s Diploma and has finished the first half, entering into the second this year.

  • Jennifer Jernberg | WSET Level 3

    Jen came to Van Belle with a desire to teach, so she entered Level 3 with to learn WSET’s methods for teaching. She has her own business that does private tastings.

  • Chad Diebold | WSET Level 3

    Chad is a partner in Sauvage Art Cafe, a natureal art and wines space that specialises in biodiverse wines. He also works as a sales manager for Epimed, as well as founding a not for profit farming space called Roots and Remedies,that’s meant to reconnect people with nature.

  • Greg Polinger | WSET Level 3

    Greg is a partner in Sauvage Art Cafe, natural wine and art space that specialises in biodiverse wines with a conscientious footprint. He also works for an American corporation and runs ultra marathons. We envy his energy.

  • Joyce van Doorn | WSET Level 3

    Joyce changed careers and dove into the wine world, doing the book work as well as field work. She has since started a wine company based on curating wines for consumers.

  • India Donisi | WSET Level 3

    India aka Wine Spice Girl brought sexy back to the wine scene. But she uses her knowledge to educate others and promote wine regions.

  • Deniz Ugar | WSET Level 3

    Deniz is originally Turkish and has been living in the Netherlands since 2008. She is a Mechanical Engineer by background with a PhD on Material Science from Delft. She works as a sustainability consultant in a large energy company.

  • Marco Herrouz | WSET Level 2

    Marco Herrouz was raised in Turin, Italy, from a family of Italian and Tunisian descent. He studied aa Master of Science in Communication at the University of Amsterdam, whereupon completion he worked in Impact and Sustainability Management for B Lab/B Corporation. He went on to complete WSET Level 3, and French Wine Scholar, and is currently studying for the WSET Diploma, and teaches FWS for Van Belle.

  • Rob de Groot | WSET Level 2

    Rob worked for Reckitt Benckiser for over 30 years and made a change of life to focus on family, investments, and personal growth. He’s continued his studies with L3 at Van Belle and has become an avid wine aficionado.

  • Suzanne Broer | WSET Level 2

    Although she started working as a legal advisor, Suzanne will always be our favorite host at the fibrant wine bar Alex+Pinard.
